Booking Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to every stay booked directly on maltaweekend.com. Payment for a booking confirms that the guest has read and accepts these terms.

1. Booking and payment

1. Reservations on maltaweekend.com are instant bookings. Your booking is confirmed once full payment is received, and a confirmation email is sent to the address you provided.
2. The full price of the stay is paid upfront at the time of booking. No balance is due later, apart from the eco-contribution (section 2) and any optional services you request (section 3), both paid on arrival.
3. Payment is taken by card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) or PayPal. Card payments are processed securely by Stripe; Malta Weekend never sees or stores your full card details. On request, we can instead send a Revolut payment link; the booking is confirmed once that payment is received.
4. All prices are in euro (€). Amounts shown in other currencies are estimates; your card issuer’s exchange rate applies.
5. The person making the booking must be at least 18 years old and stay at the property. They are responsible for all guests in the booking.
6. Please check your dates, guest numbers and contact details before paying. By paying for a booking, by any method (card, PayPal or Revolut payment link), you confirm that you have read and accept these terms, on behalf of yourself and everyone in your booking. A booking is a contract between you and Malta Weekend once payment is confirmed.

2. Prices, taxes and fees

1. The price shown at checkout is the total for your stay. There are no booking fees, service fees, cleaning fees or security deposits.
2. Malta’s government eco-contribution of €1.50 per guest per night is not included in the online price. It is paid on arrival at the property, by cash, card or Revolut payment link.
3. Optional services (section 3) are not booked or paid online. They are charged only if you request them, and paid on arrival.

3. Optional services

These services are not part of the online booking. You can request them closer to your arrival date, and pay on arrival by cash, card or Revolut payment link.

1. Request optional services by contacting us at least 48 hours before arrival.
2. Early check-in depends on availability and is confirmed by us before your arrival day. If it cannot be offered, nothing is charged.
3. Luggage is held at your own risk. Please do not leave valuables, cash or travel documents with stored luggage.

4. Cancellations, changes and no-shows

1. 15 days or more before check-in: full refund of the amount paid.
2. 14 days or less before check-in: no refund.
3. No-show (not arriving and not cancelling): no refund.
4. To cancel, email support@maltaweekend.com or use your booking account. The cancellation date is the date we receive your request.
5. Date changes are subject to availability and must be agreed in writing. A change requested within 14 days of check-in is treated as a cancellation.
6. Leaving early does not entitle you to a refund for unused nights.
7. If we have to cancel your stay for reasons outside your control, you receive a full refund. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid.
8. Refunds go back to the original payment method, normally within 10 working days.
9. We recommend travel insurance that covers cancellation.

5. Your stay

Check-in and check-out

1. Check-in is from 15:00 and check-out is by 10:00, unless you have booked an optional service (section 3).
2. A late check-out without agreement may be charged as an extra night.
3. We may ask the lead guest for photo ID at check-in, as required by Maltese law for registering guests.

House rules

• No smoking anywhere inside the property, including vaping.
• No pets.
• No parties or events.
• Children are welcome.
• Quiet hours are 21:00 to 09:00, out of respect for neighbours.
• The number of guests must not exceed the number booked.

Damage and responsibility

1. Please leave the property in the condition you found it and report any damage or faults promptly.
2. You are responsible for damage caused by you or your guests beyond normal wear and tear, and for any cost of repair or replacement.
3. Breaking the house rules (for example smoking or holding a party) may result in the stay being ended without a refund, and any extra cleaning or repair being charged.

6. Liability, privacy and contact

1. We are not liable for loss of or damage to guests’ belongings, or for disruption caused by events outside our control (such as utility outages, building works nearby or severe weather). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Maltese law.
2. Your personal data is used only to manage your booking and stay, and to meet legal obligations such as guest registration. See our Privacy Policy for details.
3. These terms are governed by the laws of Malta, and the Maltese courts have jurisdiction.
